I have a laptop with a Dell D630 with Wi Fi power switch on the side.
Because I have a switch to disable the Wifi power, this seemed easier/safer, and it worked. thanks, Solution: remove whatever "preferred networks" are displayed in wireless netwok card's property page, n click ok. happens when u switch to a new router or use a new different SSID.
This should be not used to ignore a valid security alert.
The precise error message may read something like this, and appear on almost any site, where “URL” is a variety of domains: The certificate for this website is invalid.
We're deploying a wireless networking using Windows Server 2008 NAC as a RADIUS server.
When Windows XP or 7 clients connect they initally fail to connect.
To fix, you go into the properties page of your wireless connection, go to "Wireless Networks" tab and then to Properties of the chosen wireless network you are trying to connect to.
Then go to "authentification" tab and untick the box saying "Enable IEEE802.1x to the availiable network" and that should solve your problem Graham UKRight, Graham's solution worked for me.
